When most people think of Costa Rica, they think “vacation.” Costa Rica features a wealth of stunning beaches and other natural retreats and is widely considered one of the few true ecotourist destinations in the world. It’s hardly surprising that so many North Americans and Europeans choose to have their cosmetic procedures performed in conjunction with a Costa Rican vacation.
One of the many cosmetic surgeons providing esthetic procedures to medical travelers in San Jose, Costa Rica, is Dr. Luis Da Cruz. Dr. Da Cruz and his staff strive to achieve maximum results using the least invasive procedures possible. As such, they provide both surgical and non-surgical procedures.
Because most of his international patients hail from the US, Da Cruz and his staff have taken care to ensure that medical travelers from the US have access to some necessities and conveniences to make their trip as easy as possible. What to Expect
• Dr. Cruz has access to many of the same state-of-the-art facilities and equipment as in the US and Europe
• Blood tests and EKG (and stress-test if the EKG is abnormal) are required for all procedures - blood tests can be performed in the US or in Costa Rica
• Depending upon the procedure, the patient may have to stay in Costa Rica between one and three weeks
