About Restaurants When you are traveling as a tourist to a country where you do not know the language it can be quite a challenge but when you add to that a surgery or medical treatment, then those challenges may seem overwhelming.
Simple things like getting food would be easier if you knew about a local restaurant which serves the type of food that you like, if it can be delivered to your hotel, and that you can order from someone who speaks your language. |

AFTERCARE PHYSICIANS Before you go, think about what happens after you come back! If long term follow-up care will be needed, or if complications arise, it's best to have planned in advance.
Begin with your own personal physician. Ask if he/she is willing to provide follow- up care for you. Some may not be, so if yours is one of these, check into other options.
Some physicians are knowledgeable about the quality of care in other countries and will be happy to do follow up. They may even have some personal experience and be able to offer advice concerning physicians or facilities that provide great care.
Physicians who market in this section of our website are open to talking to you about follow up care after you return to your home country. |

About Dentists Just as with medical procedures, dental surgery may require follow-up care.
Arrange with your personal dentist to visit after your return from surgery for a checkup, or at least make arrangements with a dental care facility in case you have an emergency.
Your home dentist may be able to prescribe pain medicine or antibiotics for you to carry with you and make suggestions about who is skilled at a procedure that you might need. |
